What Lead Me to Take Time Away from Painting.
Taking a break. I didn’t think that I would even be able to take time away from my painting. But, that’s exactly what I did.
Splendor of the Wild French Horses
Have you ever tried to draw or sketch a horse? It’s very challenging. They are all curves, muscles, and delicate bones with large expressive eyes. They are very powerful animals, yet so graceful. A sketch can easily go all wrong and leave you very frustrated.
Are your art activities a business or a hobby, and why it matters.
It’s that time of year again, tax time. I often hear people talking about their hobbies. Hobbies bring us joy and relaxation, and sometimes… they can become a side hustle. One never knows where their hobbies may take them.
Logo Update
Exploring branding and how the psychology of color and design effect our moods and emotions.
Evolving
The image I chose for this post tells you where I’m focused right now. I’m dreaming of sitting outside on the porch, my houseplants surrounding me (they’re on summer vacation), and taking in the fresh air and sunshine. This experience includes not having to be bundled up in snow gear!

Art Exhibition Wrap Up
I think one of the main things I learned during this experience was to not assume anything. If I have questions I need to know who on the team is responsible for which things, ask for help, clearly state any concerns or questions, and be open and objective with my attitude.
Realistic Expectations
When I found out I was going to be preparing for my first Michigan art exhibition, and close to my hometown of Vicksburg — I had so many emotions running through me. Even as I write this, it all seems like a blur.
An Unexpected Opportunity
I must go back to the weekend before I received the email. On both Saturday and Sunday, I was feeling a persistent feeling like God was trying to get my attention. At first, it was a very subtle feeling. But by the end of Sunday evening, after quiet contemplation and prayer… I understood what God wanted of me.
One Year Death Anniversary Emotions
My husband, Rich, didn’t have an easy journey, but he accepted it with bravery and courage. After all of the worrying, the doubts, the strange behaviors, and mood swings, we finally had a name for what was to become known as the “S.O.B.”
Are You Listening, God?
Terminal Illness reveals what's most important in life. In 2020, my terminally ill husband, Rich, started to show signs of being anxious about "how to be more like Him" (meaning our Lord, Jesus), while winding down on his illness journey. Here’s how God answered his prayer.
Living A Love-Based Life Without Fear
As we grow, we forget how magnificent we really are. We are children of the Infinite Creator. In His eyes, we are perfect, just as we are. We are of great worth. Some of us clearly remember who we are and why we’re here. Most of us have to rediscover the who and why. Some, because of what they have learned on their journey here, are too afraid to do the work and rediscover the truth.
My Logo Design Process
I wanted to design something that reflected the importance of how all things are connected. I also wanted to incorporate nature and the things that make me feel close to God on a daily basis.
