I have lived on Michigan freshwater lakes for most of my life. Some of the most beautiful flowers I’ve ever seen are water lilies. Not only are they beautiful, but they assist lots of wildlife. Deer, beaver, muskrats, and porcupines all eat water lily leaves and roots. Various types of waterfowl eat the seeds.

As a young small and largemouth bass fisher, water lilies also provide the perfect cover. Frogs use the large leaves to travel and enjoy insects pollinating the blooms. And, that, my friends, is the inspiration for this painting. I will be adding this as a design to various items in the future.

Acrylic on stretched canvas; 18 x 22 x 0.75. The painting does not require a frame. This artwork wraps around all four edges. Created with neutral tones that should work well with most design styles. Save the shipping charges; this painting can be purchased and picked up locally. I’ll meet you for tea or coffee!

How To Care For Your New Acrylic Painting:

- To clean regularly, just use a dry microfiber cloth. Don't use a lot of pressure on the canvas, just gently wipe it.- Every 2 or 3 months, you may need to give your painting a more thorough cleaning: * Fill a sink or bucket with clean, warm water.* Add a few drops of a non-astringent liquid dish detergent and stir the mixture by hand until it forms a mild solution. You can use this solution to spot-clean cured acrylic paintings. The detergent will help emulsify dirt and grime to lift them from the surface of the paint while the water flushes them away. Again, use a microfiber or soft cloth.(If you just bought the painting from me, wait for this type of cleaning after a couple of months of ownership).
